The variables studied were sociodemographic characteristics, knowledge, and behavior of maintaining oral health and caries prevalence. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and intra-oral examinations. The collected data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Result: The prevalence of caries in deaf children is 81.7%. There was a tendency for boys, age group 12-14 years, poor knowledge and poor behavior to experience dental caries. However, from the results of the analytical test, only gender showed a significant relationship with caries (boys had a risk of 1.3 times (CI95%=1.125-1.741) having caries compared to girls). Conclusion: The prevalence of dental caries in deaf children is quite high, especially boys are more at risk than girls. Efforts are needed to increase knowledge and monitor the oral health behaviour of deaf children, especially boys, and to promote early detection of dental caries with support of parents, teachers, health services and the health office.
2026-04-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Medika Udayana https://ejurnalstikeskesdamudayana.ac.id/index.php/jmu/article/view/610 Penggunaan Reminder Dalam Meningkatkan Kepatuhan Konsumsi ARV Pada ODHA 2026-04-22T09:46:35+08:00 Ketut Eka Larasati Wardana eka.larasati12@gmail.com Ni Wayan Arsini wayanarsini87@gmail.com
Background: HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) remain global health issues, including in Indonesia. One of the management strategies is antiretroviral therapy (ART), which requires a high level of adherence to be effective. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of reminders on adherence to ARV treatment among people living with HIV (PLHIV) at the Tembuku I Community Health Center. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 30 PLWHA selected using total sampling, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: Univariate analysis revealed that the average age of respondents was 35 years; the majority were female, had a high school education, and worked as homemakers and farmers. Bivariate analysis revealed that prior to the intervention, the majority of PLWHA (70%) had low adherence levels, whereas after the intervention, adherence levels increased to 100%. Statistical test results showed a p-value < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of social media-based reminders on improving ARV adherence in the Tembuku I Community Health Center area. Conclusion: The use of social media-based reminders is effective in improving adherence to ARV treatment among people living with HIV. This intervention can be recommended as a simple and practical strategy to support the success of ARV therapy in primary health care settings.
2026-04-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Medika Udayana https://ejurnalstikeskesdamudayana.ac.id/index.php/jmu/article/view/643 Hubungan Dukungan Sosial Dengan Work Life Balance Pada Perawat Wanita Di Rsud Dr. Soegiri Lamongan 2026-04-13T09:30:48+08:00 Susi Qomariatin susiqomariatin@gmail.com Suratmi Suratmi suratmi.umla@gmail.com Qowi Nurul Hikmatul nurul_hikmatul_qowi@umla.ac.id
Background: Work-life balance is an essential issue for all employees, especially nurses and healthcare organizations. Nurses face high role demands, particularly female nurses, who must juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, often leading to an imbalance in their personal lives. Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between social support and work-life balance among female nurses in hospitals. Results: This correlational study used a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 92 female nurses selected through cluster random sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Spearman’s Rho test. The study results indicated that the majority (70.7%) of female nurses experience low social support, and most (68.5%) also had poor work-life balance. Based on the ordinal scale analysis using the Spearman’s Rho test, the study found a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05) and a correlation coefficient (r?) of -0.610, leading to the acceptance of H1. This confirms a significant relationship between social support and work-life balance among female nurses in hospitals. Conclusion: It can be concluded that social attention and support are crucial for female nurses in carrying out their duties.
