This journal covers of common problems or issues related to community services. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and service results that have been achieved in the area of health community.</p> <p>WUJ contains various activities of the lecturer in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involve the participation of the community or partners.</p> <p>The journal is going to be published bianually. Any interested author could submit the manuscript following the submission guidelines. Authors who want to submit their manuscript to the editorial office of WUJ should obey the writing guidelines. The editors will only accept the manuscripts which meet the assigned format.</p> <p>Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Desk Review and Initial Manuscript Evaluation processes by Editorial Board. The majority of the population does not yet understand the importance of knowing their blood type, particularly in the context of healthcare. </em><strong><em>Purpose</em></strong><em>: </em><em>This community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and awareness of junior high school (SMP) students in Denpasar regarding the importance of knowing their blood type as part of personal identity and preparedness in medical situations. </em><strong><em>Method: </em></strong><em>The activity was carried out through interactive education about the blood type system and its significance in healthcare, as well as direct blood type screening by a medical team. Participants included 7th-grade students, school organization members, and teachers who had not previously known their blood type. </em><strong><em>Result:</em></strong><em>The results showed that the majority of students had blood type O (48.69%) and were Rhesus positive (99.48%). Increasing public awareness of the dangers of AMR is an important step in prevention and control efforts. A counseling program on AMR awareness has been implemented as part of the Community Service Program by Bali International University students in Punggul Village, Badung Regency, Bali Province. <strong>Method</strong>: This community service activity was carried out on September 5, 2023 and was attended by more than 50 participants, the majority of whom were housewives. The methods used included the presentation of educational materials, interactive sessions, and local culture-based campaigns to increase public understanding regarding the proper and wise use of antibiotics. <strong>Results</strong></em>: <em>Evaluation through posttest showed that there was fair knowledge (73.0%) and positif attitude of participants (100%) regarding the importance of rational use of antibiotics. In addition, this activity had a positive impact on students as implementers, especially in improving communication skills, leadership, and community empowerment. <strong>Conclusion</strong>: This program showed that a community-based educational approach that is sensitive to the local context has significant potential in raising awareness of AMR. This disease can be prevented by early detection so as to minimize the risk factors that cause it. Various government efforts have been made to prevent and treat degenerative diseases, one of which is early detection of disease through regular blood pressure checks and blood sugar checks. <strong>Activity objective:</strong> community service is to improve the quality of life through early detection of degenerative diseases through blood pressure and blood glucose checks. Method: Community service method using free blood pressure and blood glucose checks and providing counseling about degenerative diseases. One of the prevention efforts for hypertension complications is regular blood pressure monitoring. Blood pressure control and prevention of hypertension complications are influenced by several factors, including the patient's knowledge of hypertension and dietary patterns. Through understanding, early detection, and appropriate treatment, elderly individuals can manage and prevent serious complications that may arise.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br><strong>Methods</strong>: The activity implementation stage includes preparation of facilities and equipment, followed by health education using educational video media and leaflets. The activity was held in one session. The target audience for this activity was elderly individuals, both independent and assisted, aged 45 years and older. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests.&nbsp; <br><strong>Results</strong>: The activity was carried out at Wantilan, Desa Guwang, with the attendance of 30 elderly individuals from the local elderly group in the village. The activity began with elderly exercise, followed by health education through an educational video and leaflet distribution. The pre-test and post-test results showed a significant improvement in the elderly's knowledge about hypertension. The elderly demonstrated a better understanding of hypertension, including the definition of normal blood pressure, how to measure blood pressure, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle to control hypertension.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br><strong>Conclusion</strong>: Health education is crucial in controlling hypertension in the elderly. With accurate knowledge about hypertension, the elderly become more confident in taking preventive actions. This program aims to provide counseling on clean and healthy lifestyles through healthy snacks. The method used in Community Service (PkM) activities is through direct counseling activities. Participants in this activity consisted of 35 students of SDN Cipinang Besar Selatan 13. The results of this activity show the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of students when participating in activities with the theme of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) which is shown from the desire of students when trying to answer questions from the speaker. This community service activity aims to educate family members of students on preventing and detecting chronic diseases, particularly diabetes mellitus and stroke, by adopting a healthy lifestyle, maintaining a balanced diet, reducing excessive consumption of sugar, salt, and fat, and engaging in regular light physical activity daily. Additionally, participants are encouraged to regularly monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels, manage stress, and ensure adequate rest. The activity was conducted over two weeks through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The community service activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this activity found that there was a 62% increase in knowledge about the prevention and detection of Diabetes Mellitus, a 57% increase in knowledge about the prevention and detection of stroke, and a 54% increase in knowledge about the role of nutrition, healthy lifestyle, and physical activity. Additionally, there was a 54% change in behaviour for the prevention and early detection of Diabetes Mellitus, a 35% change for the prevention and early detection of stroke, 32% for the role of nutrition, activities, and healthy lifestyles among student families affected by Diabetes Mellitus and stroke. This was measured by assessing blood sugar levels and blood pressure before and after the activity, which showed a decrease of 16% in blood pressure and 11% in blood sugar levels. It is very important to initiate first aid immediately so that the victim can avoid death or more severe disability. Therefore, knowledge regarding techniques for providing basic life support and handling drowning victims. Tourism actors in coastal areas have the first opportunity to help drowning victims. <strong>Objective:</strong> To determine the knowledge and skills of the community in providing first aid to drowning victims. <strong>Method:</strong> Lectures and discussions to explain knowledge and techniques in handling or providing first aid to drowning patients. The media used are leaflets and flipcharts. Improving the knowledge and skills of cadres is carried out using a case study approach, group discussions, lectures and simulations.
