Background: The government's efforts to reduce birth rates are implemented through the Family Planning program, focusing on the use of long-term contraceptive methods. One prominent method is the Intrauterine Device (IUD), known for its high effectiveness, safety, and reversibility for women. Support from husbands plays a crucial role in the selection and use of contraceptive methods, encompassing emotional, informational, instrumental support, and appreciation. This study aims to uncover the relationship between husband support and mothers' participation in the selection of IUDs in the UPTD Puskesmas Dawan II area. Method: Using a correlational analysis method with a cross-sectional approach, this research involved 45 prospective family planning acceptors selected through purposive sampling, conducted from September to November 2024. Result: Data were analyzed using the Chi Square test, revealing that 44.44% of husbands provided support, while 62.22% of mothers chose IUDs. The bivariate analysis showed a p-value of 0.001, indicating a significant relationship between husband support and mothers' participation in the selection of IUDs. Conclusion: The results of the study showed that in the UPTD Puskesmas Dawan II area, there were 20 respondents who provided support from their husbands in choosing an Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (IUD), 28 respondents who participated in choosing the contraceptive method, and there was a relationship between husband's support and mother's participation in choosing an IUD.
