Background: The Ministry of Health has created the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Book to document essential health services for mothers and children, including vaccinations, nutrition, and developmental milestones, from pregnancy until the child is five years old. However, many pregnant women remain unaware of the MCH book (KIA book) due to a lack of interest in reading about it. This study aimed to explore the relationship between pregnant women's reading interests and their knowledge with the MCH book at PMB Ni Ketut Sunarthi, SST. Method: Utilizing a cross-sectional and correlational analytical approach, the study involved a sample of 40 participants selected through complete sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman rank test. Results: Results showed that 57.5% of respondents (23 individuals) expressed a strong interest in reading the MCH book and were mostly knowledgeable about it (50%). Among those with moderate interest (8 individuals), 80% had adequate knowledge, while 71.4% of the 5 individuals with low interest had insufficient knowledge. Conclusion: The study revealed a significant correlation, with a p-value of 0.001, indicating that pregnant women's reading interest is linked to their knowledge of KIA literature at PMB Ni Ketut Sunarthi, SST in 2024. Pregnant women are encouraged to engage with pregnancy literature to enhance their understanding.
