Corrections & Retractions

BHPJ is committed to maintaining an accurate and reliable scholarly record.

When significant problems are identified in published articles, the editorial team may take the following actions:

Correction: Issued when an article contains a material error that requires amendment but does not invalidate its overall findings.

Expression of Concern: Issued when serious questions arise regarding the reliability or integrity of an article but the evidence remains incomplete or an investigation is ongoing.

Retraction: Issued when major errors, unreliable findings, serious ethical violations, or publication misconduct invalidate the reliability of the published work.

Retraction notices will identify the affected article, explain the reasons for retraction, and maintain an accessible link to the publication concerned.

Retracted articles ordinarily remain accessible with prominent retraction identification to preserve the historical scholarly record.

The journal follows relevant COPE retraction guidance and editorial best practices.
